Black mould in the bathroom is removed with chlorine bleach (sodium hypochlorite).
Why
Mould is a kind of fungus, and the black colour is a pigment it produces. Chlorine bleach breaks down both the fungal cells and the pigment. It does not work by acidity or alkalinity (the mould remover itself is made alkaline to keep the active ingredient stable).Evidence

Notes and limits
Mould that has got deep into rubber seals is hard to remove. Use a gel product that does not run off, leave it for the time stated on the product, then rinse with water. Ventilate and wear gloves. Mixing it with acidic cleaners (including citric acid or vinegar), or using one right after the other, releases toxic chlorine gas.
